Surah Ar-Rahman is the 55th chapter in the Qur'an. This chapter is a makkiyah letter, comprising 78 verses. Named Ar-Rahmaan which means the Most Gracious comes from the word Ar-Rahman contained in the first verse of this sura. Ar-Rahman is one of God's names.
