A mobile app that aims to make online dating more inviting to women.

Bolster is a revolutionary mobile application that was developed to make the online dating scene more inviting to women. We have created an environment where female users will not be inundated with weird, rude and suggestive messages or pick-up lines from men.

We believe mobile daters deserve a superior experience through an app that eliminates the inappropriate, hostile and undesirable people that currently taint the mobile dating pool. Women should be protected from unnecessary and unwanted attention from men who are out solely for casual hookups and sex.

- Only photographs (taken off Facebook or through direct download), age, and profile description are revealed. All information will be carefully vetted by at least four people from the app development and support team. The waiting time for approval before listing will be less than 24 hours.

- Bolster’s algorithm makes an estimate as to who might be a good match for a particular user by making logical connections with characteristics and likes/dislikes. The most ideal method of connecting two users together is through matching relevant keywords

- Female users can choose to either be seen by all users, or to keep her photograph and profile completely private. If the female user opts for the latter, her personal information will be revealed ONLY to the male user she approaches either via a chat message or “tap” alert. All other male users will NOT be able to see or communicate with her.

- If a male and female user is agreeable to a meet-up, the venue can be chosen from a list of eateries and meet-up places already pre-loaded into the app. These venues will offer discounts and perks to entice users to patronize their outlets, and at the same time ensure the date progresses safely and smoothly. Users are also welcome to make their own arrangements should they prefer to meet at a place that is not on our list.

- The chosen meet-up place will be automatically notified through email and SMS (to their corporate email address and mobile phone respectively) once a confirmation is made. They will need to reserve a table, and our back-end team will be responsible for making sure that is done.

- Anytime before meeting up, the female user can opt to have her location seen on a map by her next-of kin and also by the app support system. This option is provided as a safety feature so the female user’s whereabouts is known in case of emergency situations. Bolster uses the latest top-of-the-line location based system.

- When the female user chooses to have her location seen, an “SOS” button will pop up on her mobile phone’s lock screen. When this button is tapped or swiped, her phone will automatically call and send a text message to her next-of kin’s phone, as well as to the app support system. Her immediate location will also be sent out concurrently.

- If there are unfavorable reports or complaints made by any user, male or female, the reported user will be taken off the app immediately and banned from future registration.
