Bryan Adams Greatest Hits

Bryan Guy Adams was born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada on November 5, 1959. Much of his youth was spent with his native British parents. Between the age of 14-15 Adams worked as a dishwasher to earn money to buy Fender guitars, and quit his job after auditioning as a guitarist.

CAREER

Adams is a rock singer, songwriter, guitarist, bassist, producer, and photographer from Canada. Adams has won dozens of awards and nominations, including 20 Juno awards among 56 nominations. He also entered 15 Grammy Award nominations and won Best Song written specifically for Picture Motion in 1992. He also won the American Music Awards, MTV, ASCAP.

In addition, he has won two Ivor Novello Awards for song composition and has been nominated for several Golden Globe Awards and three Academy Awards awards for songwriting. Adams was awarded the Order of Canada and the Order of British Columbia for his contributions to popular music and philanthropic work through his own foundation, which helped improve education for people around the world.

Adams was sworn in as Canada Walk of Fame in 1998, and in April 2006 he was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Famedi. In 2008, Bryan was ranked 38th in the All-Time Artists list by Billboard Hot 100 Charts in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the billboard. On January 13, 2010, he received the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award for engaging in many concerts and charity campaigns throughout his career. On May 1, 2010, Bryan was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Award for his 30 year contribution in the arts.
