Charger Extras

Plug in your phone to the charger and BAM the clock app is there.

This is an app is truely a "set and forget" app, that makes your smartphone even smarter.

When you're tired and just wants to sleep, plug in your phone to the charger and BAM the clock app is there, ready for you to set the alarm.

It will do various tasks when you plug in a charger, eg:

- Open an app you define when charger plugin

- Open an app you define when charger disconnected

- Activate daydream (Screensaver) after a certain interval

- Enable silent mode

- Enable flightmode (Requires root) after a certain interval

- Reboot/Soft reboot phone after certain interval (Requires root)

- Go to homescreen when charger is unplugged

- Sound when charger plugged or unplugged

- Set that app only should be active in a certain time interval

- Set brightness to minimum for faster charger (and less eye strain during nightly phone use)

The reboot functionality is especially useful if you (like me) forget to reboot your phone sometimes. All Android phones run low on memory over time, and a reboot is the most effective way to avoid this.

This app won't run unless the phone is in charger = Next to none impact on battery life.

Troubleshooting

Q: Minimum screen brightness doesn't work

A: Make sure you have disabled "Auto brightness" in the settings menu - Otherwise apps are not able to set the screen brightness

Reasons for app permissions:

- MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS - To be able to set silent mode

- BIND_DREAM_SERVICE - To be able to start DayDream (On Android 5.0+)

- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED - To know when the app rebooted the device (and act accordingly)

- INTERNET - To be able to see statistics

- WRITE_SETTINGS and CHANGE_CONFIGURATION - To be able to change screen brightness
