Looking for something to do today? EventsToday takes today’s events going on in your area and plots them on a Google Map along with a description. On top of this, you can also find out how to get to the event from your current location. This application is for the spontaneous soul or the last-minute planner who likes to explore events on a visual map interface.

-Easy to use and familiar interface for Google Map users as it runs on Google Maps API.

-Full Description, along with nearest intersection, phone number and url. When you click the description bubble, you go straight to the url in your browser.

-Find your location and see if there are any events that are closer to you.

-Android App finds out how to get to the event from your current location (loads in Google Maps application).

Currently supported Canadian cities: Toronto (via City of Toronto Open Data), Ottawa/Gatineau (via Ottawa Open Data), and Quebec City (via Quebec City Open Data). More cities to come in the next releases!
