This holiday is the candy, and crafting up a great  costume! we have so many fun ideas running through my head for this season’s tutorials, we thought we’d better start now so we have half a chance of getting at least some of them posted.

we have a new tutorials, that we are super excited to share with you, how to turn a dollar store tiara, into a fabulous mermaid crown.  we think the transformation is pretty remarkable!

- We created this mermaid tiara from a plastic crown that we found at the dollar store, you can also find higher end, supply or your local party shop.

- The key ingredient for this project is metallic pipe cleaner, you can also pick this up at any craft store, and I have seen it at the dollar store on occasion as well.

- The pipe cleaner will enable you to create a very strong bond with the hot glue so that your seashells will not come off while you dance, (or swim ) the night away.

- Start by covering the entire surface area of the tiara with pipe cleaner, wrap it as tightly as you can, weaving it in, out, and around all the curves and then you will be ready to embellish your seashells.

- we added rhinestone chain and vintage jewelry to our shells before hot gluing them on the tiara, we find that E6000 is the best adhesive for adding rhinestones to seashells.
