Gold In Them Thar Hills Mod (Automatable Gold Panning)

Gold In Them Thar Hills Mod is a simple mod about panning for gold and automatable gold nugget farming with gold pans and sluices. By right-clicking with the gold pan, or running water over the sluices, you can generate gold nuggets.

How to use:

The Gold Pan

To use the gold pan, right-click it in water. You’ll have a chance of finding one gold nugget as well as a little bit of XP. The probability of finding a gold nugget is 2% – but in an extreme hills biome, this percentage goes up to 7%.

The Sluice

The sluice, if water is directly above it, will occasionally spawn one gold nugget above it. A possible usage would be to create a large array of sluices and allow water to flow over it; the flowing water can push the gold nuggets towards a central location.

The sluice, upon receiving a random block tick, will spawn about 16 nuggets an hour. However, in an extreme hills biome, it will spawn a bonus of about 8 nuggets per hour.

How to install:

Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge.

Locate the minecraft application folder.

On windows open Run from the start menu, type appdata and click Run.

On mac open finder, hold down ALT and click Go then Library in the top menu bar. Open the folder Application Support and look for Minecraft.

Place the mod you have just downloaded (.jar file) into the Mods folder.

When you launch Minecraft and click the mods button you should now see the mod is installed.
