Commands sent to camera and various other events are shown in notification area. You can save the notification texts to directory GoProGPS on SD card by clicking on the notifications and clicking on the Save button on the expanded notification list.

Because of relatively large power drain, WiFi reconnection only scans for camera for around 5 minutes. After that you need to initiate connection manually - go to home screen and start GoPro GPS again.
