Mappila Haal is an initiative by SIO Kerala, the Kerala chapter of Students Islamic Organisation of India. SIO Kerala envisioned the blend of technological possibilities and historical archives which was achieved through Mappila Haal .

Mappila Haal interactive exhibition is a compelling virtual storytelling about the 1921 Malabar rebellion, a significant episode in India’s freedom struggle. Mappila Haal will be a comprehensive digital compilation, collaborating with researchers, artists and local historians. The Malabar rebellion of 1921 is revisited through Multimedia interactive experiences. Mappila Haal narrates the story of Malabar Rebellion of 1921 using graphic novels, documentaries and podcasts.
