What makes the songket timeless? The classic songket finds its way into current clothing trends without losing its everlasting elegance.

The songket, a piece of cloth that is intricately woven with gold or silver threading, has roots from centuries ago. It is said to have influences from the Arabian or Indian trades as early as the 7th century, from its production techniques to its exquisite thread lines.

The ‘head’ is the feature panel of the cloth. Its design is fringed by side borders called the ‘pengapit’.

The foot of the cloth is border surrounding the main cloth.
