It is known for its rich cultural heritage, especially its music, its cuisine, and its colorful carnival (called Mardi Gras, in French Mardi Gras). It is also an industrial and distribution center and an important marine and river port. New Orleans, the city where "anything is possible", is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating and captivating metropolises of the United States.
