Legendary actor P Ramlee from Singapore to Malaysia.

His passion for making movies and song writing made him yearn to create Malay music to fill the gap that existed in the repertoire of the 1940s.

In 1948, he acted in his first movie titled “Cinta'' where he played a villain and that role stuck for two more films, “Nilam'' and ''Racun Dunia''. He finally secured his first role as a hero in the movie “Bakti'' in 1949.

In 1957, P. Ramlee made famous the “Bujang Lapok'' comedy films.

Malaysians and Singaporean still enjoy watching these movies.
