Origin of the Pitzah Meme?

Pitzah refers to a viral video of Russian influencer Hasbulla Magomedov eating a slice of pizza, first saying "pizza" in a high-pitched tone. Hasbulla has a genetic growth disorder that leaves him at 3-feet tall. The video was first posted to Tamaev Asxab's Instagram in May 2021, then Hasbulla's Instagram in June 2021, going viral over the course of the month on TikTok and inspiring edits on YouTube where it was used as an exploitable format.

On May 27th, 2021, a friend, MMA fighter and regular collaborator of Hasbulla's, posted a video of Hasbulla saying "pizza," sounding like "pitzah" due to his accent, and then taking a bite of a slice (shown below). The video gained over 8.4 million views in a month.

The clip of Hasbulla eating pizza was shared a number of times across social media platforms, going viral on TikTok and Instagram as a number of other clips of Hasbulla also went viral. By late June, the video became the subject of edits.

Who is Hasbulla?

Hasbulla Magomedov, also known as Mini Khabib for his resemblance to MMA fighter Kabib Nurmagomedov, is an 18-year-old Russian blogger with an unknown genetic disorder that makes him look like a five-year-old boy. He began posting comedic content on Instagram in November 2020, and gained a significant fanbase over the next six months after a number of clips from his Instagram went viral on TikTok. Hasbulla has over 460,000 followers on Instagram as of July 2021. Hasbulla's fight career is managed by Askhab Tamaev.

Origin of the Hasbulla Meme

Hasbulla was born on an unknown date in 2003 in Dagestan, Russia. Hasbulla allegedly suffers from growth hormone deficiency, or GHD, which he has had since birth. This stopped Hasbulla from growing at a reported height of 3' 4". Hasbulla began posting on Instagram in November 2020 under the account @Hasbulla. He gained a significant number of fans starting around April 2021 as users began to repost clips of him and use them in various memes.

Some of Hasbulla's most popular content sees him impersonating MMA fighter Kabib Nurmagomedov, who some people believe he is related to. This led many to call Hasbulla "Mini Kabib." Hasbulla has notably leaned into fighting-themed content, often seen shadowboxing, fighting and training.
