Surah An Nisa - Le donne

Islam raised women’s status from what it was during the darkness of Jahiliyah. It looks at a woman with respect and gives her honor therefore Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala dedicated an entire chapter of Quran comprising of 176 verses to the women.

"Verse 135 of Surah Nisa is one most important verses of Quran on Justice"

“O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So follow not (personal) inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort (your testimony) or refuse (to give it), then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.” Surah Al-Nisa"

Let us now consider the social and historical considerations of the period in order to understand the Surah. All the discourses in Surah Nisa deal with three main problems which confronted the Holy Prophet at the time.
