-------------------------------------------------- (I.e.

Japamala is the rosary used in Eastern traditions such as Hinduism and Buddhism to count the number of times a mantra is recited, count the breaths done during meditation, and also for protection against negative energy.

The word japamala comes from Sanskrit where "jap" means "whisper, whisper" and "mala" means "cordão, colar". They can be made of various materials and decorated in many different ways. However, they should always have 108 accounts or multiples of this number (54, 27, 18, 9).

It is an ancient object of spiritual devotion, also known as a rosary of prayers in the West. It is a craftsmanship widely used to help in prayers and mentalizations as a marker. We then have two chains: one spiritual, "Japa", and another material, "Mala". Thus, the spiritual energies invoked "Japa" energize the "Mala".
