JLPT Japanese Vocabulary App, Study First (Study Japanese Vocabulary)

First of all, Japanese vocabulary is divided into JLPT levels (N5~N1) for study.

To make it easier for anyone to study every day, we provide Japanese words divided into the number of words that can be memorized per day.

Additionally, you can check the Japanese words you studied that day through the review function.

The review function can be used with Japanese meanings, words, and furigana.

Have you just started learning Japanese? Don’t know how to read Chinese characters yet?

Do not worry. First of all, we show you the pronunciation of Chinese characters in hiragana/katakana, and also support Japanese audio.

Even if you have no prior knowledge of Japanese, you can study Japanese words by listening and watching.

Studying words is all about repetition! You can review the Japanese words you studied by unit, JLPT level, or entire unit.

Words that are frequently misspelled in review are displayed more frequently in review.

The more you use the app, the more personalized your vocabulary becomes.

Japanese words that are difficult to memorize tend to remain difficult to memorize. In that case, try using the favorites function.

If you click the 【★】 button on a word that is difficult to memorize to add it to your favorites, you can view the Japanese words you added to your favorites on the favorites screen.

Of course, we also provide a function to review only the Japanese words you have added to your favorites.

All words are installed with the app when you download it. Therefore, you can study Japanese vocabulary anytime, anywhere.

Voice support issues

The JLPT Japanese Vocabulary App, for starters, provides Japanese audio using the TTS (Text To Speech) engine.

There is an issue with Japanese voice support not being properly supported on some Androids (Galaxy). For smooth voice support, we recommend downloading Speech Recognition & Synthesis and Japanese voice data.

1. Download Speech Recognition & Synthesis from Play store

2. Phone Settings > Search and select “Text-to-Speech Output” > Select “Default Engine” > Select Google Speech and Synthesis.

3. Select the settings icon next to “Default Engine” > Select Install Voice Data > Select Japanese > Download

If you are still experiencing problems, please try deleting the Speech Recognition & Synthesis update.

1. Phone Settings > Apps

2. Select Speech Recognition & Synthesis app

3. Select the menu icon in the upper right corner of the App info screen

4. Select Uninstall updates > Select OK

- Samsung Bixby settings

If you are experiencing problems even after setting up Speech Recognition & Synthesis on your Samsung Galaxy, please check your Samsung Bixby settings.

1. Mobile phone settings > Search for speech settings

2. Select text-to-speech settings in Bixby Vision settings > Select text-to-speech settings > Default engine > Check Samsung TTS engine settings

3. Select the settings icon on the right side of Samsung TTS engine > Select voice data installation > Select the download icon on the right side of Japanese voice data
