This monumental work was written by Shaykh 'Alam al Din Abu Faidh Muhammad Yasin bin Muhammad Isa bin Udik al Fadani. A cleric from Padang who is a teacher for most Indonesian clerics. Among his students were Kiai Sahal Mahfudz (Pati, Central Java), Kiai Maimun Zubair (Rembang), Kiai Ahmad Damhuri (Banten), Kiai Abdu Hamid (Jakarta), and many more Indonesian scholars who were his students.

Known throughout the world for his expertise in the field of hadith science. The ulama gave him the title "Musnid al Dunya", the world's leading expert on sanad. Among his students who took a diploma in hadith sanads from him included Habib Umar bin Muhammad (Yemen), Prof. Dr. Shaykh Ali al Shabuni, Shaykh Ismail Zain al Yamani and Prof. Dr. Ali Jum'ah.

There are no less than one hundred of his works, and this book is the most famous. The book is two volumes thick and contains Qawaid al Fiqhiyyah or rules of jurisprudence. Namely the universal rules of the laws of jurisprudence. Written in Arabic like the yellow book that is commonly found.

The full title is Al Fawaid al Janiyyah Hasyiah al Mawahib al Saniyyah Syarah al Faraid al Bahiyyah fi Nadzmi al Qawaid al Fiqhiyyah. Thus this book is included in the Hasyiah books (comments on comments). This work is a hasyiah of the book al Mawahib al Saniyyah by Abdurrahman al Ahdal. Meanwhile, the book al Mawahib al Saniyyah is the Syarah book al Faraidh al Bahiyyah Nadzmu al Qawaid al Fiqhiyyah by Sayyid Abi Bakar bin Abi al Qasim al Ahdal.

Shaykh Muhammad Yasin bin Isa al Fadani is not only an expert on hadith sanads and is called the world's expert on hadith sanads, but is also a sanad holder in every discipline he studies. He received approximately 500 leading scientific studies. Including in the field of knowledge of the rules of sanad jurisprudence, he is connected to the authors of the books he disyarahi.

As written in the introduction to this book, he hated reading the book al Faraidh al Bahiyyah in front of his teacher Shaykh Sayyid Muhsin bin Ali al Musawa who received a diploma from Shaykh Sayyid Idrus bin Salim al Bar and Syaikh Sayyid al Faqih Umar Ba Junaid al Hadhrami, both of whom received diplomas from Sayyid Husain bin Muhammad al Habsyi al Makki who recited the Koran to his own father Sayyid Muhammad bin Husain al Habsyi mufti Makkah. And the latter received the diploma directly from the author, namely Shaykh Abdurrahman bin Sulaiman al Ahdal.
