Alhamdulillah, thanks be to Allah S.W.T, finally we PonPon Media have successfully completed the application of the Book of Fathul Qorib and its translation. The author of the Book of Fathul Qorib is Sheikh Muhammad bin Qosim al-Ghazi. He is the author of syarakh (explanatory) from the book of Matan Taqrib written by Imam Sheikh Ahmad bin Husein or known as Abu Syuja '.

The purpose of compiling this book is so that people who study fiqh can know religious law briefly and easily. Many scholars after the era of Imam Abu Syuja 'compiled his syarakh book on Taqrib, including one of them, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Ghazi. Fathul Qarib is one of the most popular fiqh books among Islamic boarding school students throughout Indonesia.

It is not known for certain when this book was studied in Indonesia, what is clear is that students who study fiqh will not doubt it when they recite this book. Syarakh Taqrib is used by many Islamic boarding schools because the contents of the chapters are concise and dense in discussion. In addition, the diction and sentence structure of this book are easy to understand for those who are just learning to read the yellow book.

Fathul Qarib is a book that is quite popular among Islamic boarding schools spread throughout the archipelago. This book is often used for Muslims who just want to learn the science of fiqh. The book of Fathul Qarib is one of the Arabic books without the use of pronunciation and translation. In Islamic boarding schools, this book is better known as the yellow book or the bald book.

The use of the Fathul Qarib book itself, is used as a primary source and mandatory guide in a madrasah diniyah or Islamic educational institution that is "salaf", namely education with a traditional pattern. The Fathul Qorib Book contains muqaddimah and discussion of the science of fiqh. The science of fiqh which is discussed in outline consists of four parts, namely about the procedures for carrying out worship, muamalat, marriage problems, and the study of Islamic law which discusses crime or jinayat.

As the name implies, this book is structured very concisely, the language is not too difficult, does not contain many differences of opinion. The background for the preparation of this book is the request of some of al-Qâdhi's friends Abu Syuja', that he is pleased to compile a book of fiqh from the Imam Shafi'i school that is concise, easy to memorize, and easy to digest systematically, especially for novice students.
