"Allah made fasting obligatory on the Children of Israel for one day a year. That day is called the day of 'Ashura, the 10th of the month of Muharram, so on that day fast and make your family happy, because whoever makes his family happy with his wealth (buys something that makes his family feel happy) then Allah will expand his sustenance in that year. So fast....! Because on that day;

1. Allah accepted Prophet Adam's repentance

2. Prophet Idris received a high degree

3. Prophet Noah got out of the boat safely

4. Prophet Abraham was saved from the fire

5. The Torah was revealed to the Prophet Musa

6. Prophet Yusuf was released from prison

7. Prophet Ya'qub could see again after being blind

8. Prophet Ayyub recovered from his illness

9. The Prophet Yunus was removed from the whale's stomach

10. The sea was parted for the Children of Israel

11. Prophet David forgiven all his sins

12. Prophet Solomon was appointed king

13. Prophet Muhammad, all his sins are forgiven either past or future

14. The first day God created the world

15. The first time it rained from the sky

16. The first time God's grace was sent down to earth.

"Whoever fasts on the day of Ashura' then (his reward) is like fasting for one year. And that is the fast that was done by the prophets of Allah."

"And whoever revives the night of Ashura with worship, then (his reward) will be like the worship of all the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth."
