The work of Imam Ghazali which was summarized by him Shaykh Muhammad Jamaluddin Al Qosimi Ad Damisyqi. Shaykh Jamaluddin was born at duha time, to be precise on Monday, 8 Jumadal Ula 1283 H/1866 M in a small village, Qasimi, Syam, Syria. He died on Saturday afternoon 23 Jumadilawal 1332 H / 18 April 1914 M at the age of 48 years. (Ghofur, 2008:158). He started summarizing the book in 1323 H/ 1905 AD.

The Mauidlatul Mukminin Book consists of two volumes, each of which represents two chapters in the Ihya Book (the Ihya Ulumuddin Book consists of 4 volumes). In the first volume there are 18 chapters of discussion, starting with the preface, sermons on the book, then continuing chapters one, two, three to chapter 18 in which each chapter has several chapters and ends with a fahrasat (table of contents). Then in the second volume there are 16 chapters of discussion, starting from chapter 19 to chapter 34 (total of all chapters) in which each chapter consists of several chapters and ends with fahrasat (table of contents). Even though the book is purely a summary, the author has not changed the order of discussion with the original book. It's just that the summary book uses words that are simpler and more easily understood by the general public.

As for the summary example, the author will take the second volume of the Ihya Book, the book of eating etiquette, the first chapter on personal etiquette which has three parts. The first part, adab before eating there are 7 adab: 1. The food served should be halal in substance and tayib or in a good way to get it; 2. Washing hands; 3. Place the container on the ground (not on a table or other high place); 4. Adjust the sitting position; 5. Have the intention of the food served to fill yourself with strength in carrying out obedience; 6. Rida for the food served; 7. Do not eat alone. In the Mauidzoh Book, numbers 3 and 4 are not mentioned.

Aqidah, Shari'ah and Morals (Taswwuf) are the three most important components of Islam. Aqidah is a matter of faith, Shari'a concerns matters of law and Morals concerns behavior and manners. All three are important matters in religion that all Muslims need to know. Imam Ghazali in this regard has created a masterpiece which explains these three things broadly and in detail in his work Ihya' Ulumiddin. The Ihya Ulumiddin book is a popular book and is studied in various countries including Indonesia, unfortunately this book is quite difficult to understand and only people with good religious knowledge can understand it. This triggers the conscience of the scholars to make kara more concise with the aim that ordinary people can understand it, as was done by Shaykh Muhammad Jamaluddin Al Qosimi Ad Damisyqi through his work Mauidhatul Mu'minin.
