Krishna, its music, its culture and its teachings
Since 1979, Chandramukha is a member of ISKCON, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, founded in the West by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1965, an institution that disseminates Hinduism tradition known as vaishavismo. It was also in 1979 that his spiritual master, Srila Hridayanada Das Goswami (photo), gave him the first initiation and the following year gave him the Gayatri mantra, when it became a priest-Brahmana. In 1986, in Mayapur, India, Chandramukha made their vows of sannyasa order, becoming thus a Swami, and in 1997, due to his philosophical competence, received the prestigious title bhakti-shastri. Currently, Chandramukha Swami lies in Fazenda Nova Gokula, Pindamonhangaba, SP, ISKCON project practice and propagate the culture and Vedic philosophy. In 2001, Swami Chandramukha accepted the diksha-guru service, after fulfilling the lofty task of guiding disciples, starting them formally in Vaishnava School, represented by ISKCON.
In the literary field, his debut was in 1999. Since then, it has been more than twenty books on Vedic philosophy, meditation, yoga and other topics related to the tradition of the Vedas. Among his works, we can highlight the "Bhagavad-gita for Beginners", "Bhaja Govindam", "The Five Essential Truths", "Meditating with Krishna," "Bringing the Sacred to the Everyday," "Kindness How Lifestyle" and more recently, Trilogy known as the "Living the Scriptures."
In the musical field, Chandramukha Swami recorded eleven CDs of mantras. Among them, we can highlight "rained Mantra in the Wilderness," a happy partnership with the Pernambuco group Quintet Violated, "In Zen," "The Best of Both Worlds" and more recently "60 Minutes of Pure Maha-Mantra" and " Bossa gave the Mantra ", with special participation of Márcio Pombo in pianos, Leo Gandelman on sax and Marcelo Bernardes on flute.
