La Rosa is a local currency that aims to increase local consumption in the city, generating circulation of money in local commerce and at the same time promoting digitalization, contributing to sustainability, social responsibility and the involvement and interrelationship of citizens, of economic activity and the social fabric.

Local currencies are a type of currency complementary to the euro, which are used as means of payment or exchange systems, and allow the local circulation of money to be encouraged, favoring local trade and social cohesion. The Rose, Sant Feliu's currency, has the same parity as the euro (1 euro = 1 local currency).

To use La Rosa, you will need to download an application on your mobile phone that will allow you to exchange euros for local currency and make payments in a similar way as we do with a mobile credit card.

The choice of the name of the local currency of Sant Feliu, the Rose, emerged from the participatory process that took place in April 2022 where citizens participated to choose between three proposals: La Santfe, el Dot and la Rosa . The definitive logo of the currency was devised based on all the ideas about its attributes and characteristics collected in different participatory sessions with the economic and social fabric of the city.
