Marathon Race, Athlete position updates through Facebook.

S.E.G.A.S (Greek Association of Athletics Associations) in cooperation with Research and Engineering Consulting office provides the Marathon App for the 2014 authentic Marathon Run.

Marathon App is an application concept inspired from a team of marathon runners -engineers, and especially lovers of the Authentic Marathon Route.

The app provides the ability for friends or relatives of the athletes-runners to get informed about their progression during the race in real time through map position updates in the Facebook page of each athlete that uses the app.

This application requires an active Facebook social network account.

This application uses GPS in the background that can increase battery energy consumption of your smart device.

Application uses a minimum amount of Cellular data in order to send Facebook Wall updates.
