The Reporting Code App helps suspicion of domestic violence and child

The Meldcode App helps professionals with suspicions of domestic violence and / or child abuse. On the basis of 5 steps, professionals determine whether they should make a report to Veilig Thuis and whether sufficient help can be deployed.

This app contains the reporting code for the following professional clusters:

- Doctors coalition

- Psychologists, pedagogues, (psychotherapists)

- Social workers, youth and family professionals

- Education

- Paramedics

- Day-care

- Nurses & Carers

- Justice - DJI

- Justice - probation service

- Justice - Halt

- Midwives / KNOV

N.B. By working with the reporting code, the decision whether or not to report suspected domestic violence and / or child abuse remains with the professional. The step-by-step plan for the reporting code provides guidance in this assessment.

The Meldcode App has been developed for the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
