Our team of committed and enthusiastic staff strive to nurture these through high quality learning and teaching experiences and by delivering a stimulating, creative and challenging curriculum. Our Ofsted Inspection in November 2011 recognised the school as providing a good education for its pupils. "The school is highly inclusive and its care, guidance and support of pupils are good". The report includes many quotes from parents. One states: "Meryfield is such a happy place. There is a real sense of family in the school. The teachers and support staff care about each of my children as individuals." Another parent said: "My children absolutely love this school. They are making such fantastic progress... They often come home telling me the wonderful fun and exciting lessons they have had." At Meryfield we greatly value working in partnership with you, as no one knows your child as well as you do. We rely on you fostering a positive attitude to school and learning so that your child has maximum support to achieve high standards in both behaviour and academic attainment. We therefore operate an ‘open door’ policy, encouraging you to visit and become actively involved in your child’s learning. We have cutting edge ICT facilities, a well-stocked library and a wide range of quaity resources across all curricular areas. We are also fortunate in having extensive grounds for outdoor learning, including a wildlife area for science enquiry and exciting play areas for each Key Stage.
