Mobile app is specifically to facilitate the Fishermen, Auctioneers or Skippers

Marine Products Exports Development Authority of India (MPEDA) is an organization to promote the exports of “all varieties of fishery products known commercially as shrimp, prawn, lobster, crab, fish, shell-fish, other aquatic animals or plants or part thereof and any other products which the authority may, by notification in the Gazette of India, declare to be marine products for the purposes of (the) Act”.

The Mobile app is specifically to facilitate the Fishermen, Auctioneers or Skippers who are said to have the ownership of the fish catch associated with a Vessel. This enables them to add their Fish catch from Indian Coastal region from various vessels and further add their sales to the exporters of India from their catch on daily basis.

The app takes care of the ease of use with options to assist speedy entry and also store the details on local thereby enabling to keep a note of all Catch and sales until the users are ready to commit to the server.

Activities facilitated in the app

1. Can add associated Exporters to ease data entry

2. Can add associated Vessels to ease data entry

3. Can add daily voyages along with Fish Catch

4. Can add daily Sales against a catch registered in the app

5. Can save as draft until they are sure to commit

6. Improves traceability and relieves the Fishermen/Auctioneers/Skippers from all those hurdles of remembering the Catches and Sales on daily basis
