Santi Currò, known as Nemo, was born in Messina on 03/06/1960. After obtaining the technical diploma of building expert, he graduated in Business Economics and Management, lives in Messina. He comes from a family of Building Masters, his father Giovanni, restorer, plasterer and plasterer of excellent ability, was one of the collaborators of the Arch . Filippo Rovigo, an authoritative professional from Messina who has created notable and important buildings both public and private. They were the years of the economic boom and our Nemo, following his father, feeds on those atmospheres rich in creativity linked to the golden age of Messina, where designers, technological innovation, art, poetry, theater and cinematography coexisted in a unique and unrepeatable artistic ferment. In this period the sub-layer of Nemo begins to form which like a sponge absorbs and catalogs everything, the side art that remains dormant for years.Every artistic expression attracts him and intrigues him, he approaches the world of pictorial art and after buying an acrylic by Mario Schifano, it was 1984, he begins to frequent galleries, museums and exhibitions.Meet and get to know Artists of the caliber of Ernesto Treccani, Giuseppe Migneco, Ugo Nespolo, Mimmo Rotella, Bruno Ceccobelli, Emilio Tadini, Cesare Berlingeri, Togo, Mariella Marini and many others. Nemo is self-taught but his creativity owes much to the observation of the Pop current of 'Italian art, learned directly from the Roman artists who have adapted this current to the Italian tradition and mindset. After years of silent reflection on art and its meaning, Nemo finally tries his hand at a peculiar technique that we can define as "in-collage", conceptual and pop at the same time. His production that is now presented to the public is the result of years of reflection and internal work, which suddenly blossomed in the period 2010-2022.
