Personal portfolio of OLGA SPADE

I was born in Novosibirsk, a big Siberian city. I started drawing since I was able to hold a pencil in my hand. At the age of 6 I started attending the children's drawing school. After high school I enrolled in the University of Design and Technology at the Faculty of Design of Footwear and Leather Accessories. Four years later, however, I understand that I want to devote myself to pure art, so, overcoming many difficulties, I arrive at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. My degree thesis was in Artistic Anatomy where I explored the similarities between the human structure and that of animals of various species. Thus the animal world becomes the main theme of my works. Through the representation of animals I explore the instincts, emotions and passions of human beings as only humans are the users of my works.
