Fairy tale with coffee

In the top 10 of the best international coffee competition last month was deservedly found the "Fairy Tale with coffee" which participated after its renovation in the established annual Architecture & Decoration competition 2013 of the British magazine "design et al" a leader in the field of decoration.

The "Fairy Tale with Coffee" started its operation in 1997 and has always been one of the favorite hangouts of the Square. For coffee from early in the morning, for a drink and nice music until late at night or for a quick snack and a pleasant break at any time of the day, "Paramythi" has managed to become in recent years one of the first choices of the neo-Smyrnaeans.

In June 2013 the owner Manolis Levisianos decided to give another breath to our favorite cafe and with the help of a talented Architect - Decorator Dimitris Oikonomou he transformed it into a playful cafe-bar, which won the impressions internationally!

"We followed an imaginative storytelling theme with a series of intrigues and design elements that help create a sense of intimacy and rekindle the magical moments of childhood.

A favorite item is the cots that welcome customers as they enter the space. Customers can choose to enjoy their coffee or read a book while swinging or relaxing letting their imagination travel to the wall with retro books… "says the Architect himself and continues:" The choice of materials is a correlation among the first industrial materials with a touch of rustic warmth. Fancy tribal and Aztec designs add touches of color to the space and give it life… ”

Dimitris Oikonomou also used decorative elements made of natural wood, but also industrial materials, furniture in oval shapes and prints on the tables, trying to give functionality to the spaces, finesse and an elegant touch, something that definitely succeeded with the above!
