The app was created by Tyler, Dylan, Oliver, and Jashvanth in their Apps for Good course at Sutton Grammar School in Surrey. The team had all seen their parents get stressed out trying to find great locations for birthday parties. They wanted to create an app to help busy parents find the perfect local party venue with ease.

Party Spot won the People’s Choice Award sponsored by Tech London Advocates at the Apps for Good Awards 2014, the national competition for Apps for Good students. As an Apps for Good Awards winner, the team worked with development agency Fuerte International to have their app launched on to the market, with the support of Apps for Good and Tech London Advocates.
