Protecting Primates, their Forest and Savvanah Homes

The Pan African Sanctuary Alliance (PASA) is a non-profit organization working to protect Africa’s primates and their habitats. We work with member sanctuaries and international experts to halt bush-meat hunting, illegal pet and commercial trade and the widespread habitat destruction that threatens Africa’s primates with extinction.

PASA provides training, expertise, materials and funding to empower local communities to protect primates and the natural areas where they live. We inspect and accredit member sanctuaries, and work with prospective member sanctuaries across Africa to improve animal care and conservation practices to meet PASA standards.

PASA is administered by a Board of Directors and an Executive Director. Our programs are founded on technical and scientific input from Advisors and Members. Our executive office is located in Portland, Oregon, USA. PASA is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit charity in the United States and all donations are tax-deductible.
