Play The Site invites you to get to know the UNESCO sites of Lombardy through the game.

Play The Site is the Lombardy Region app that promotes and invites you to learn about the 10 UNESCO sites of Lombardy through games.

The game was developed in Drive to site mode, in order to stimulate the player to travel between UNESCO sites and museums through a virtual treasure hunt that also translates into a real visit to the sites. 49 different environments take the player on a tour to discover the 10 UNESCO sites with remote virtual explorations to be completed with in-person visits to the places described.

Information and anecdotes are revealed through gaming mechanics: hidden objects and word games allow you to learn about curiosities in an unusual and fun way.

After completing each course, the player is awarded a badge. The goal of the game is to collect as many of them as possible, until all content related to each site is unlocked. Some badges can only be earned with real visits to places, by looking for the panels scattered throughout each site and by scanning the dedicated QRcode, which will allow you to progress through the game.

Players can monitor their progress through a special screen where all the badges earned after achieving each specific goal are indicated.

The Play The Site app was created by the Lombardy Region as part of the project "UNESCO Sites and Museums: construction of a shared network for the enhancement of Lombard heritage" with the collaboration of the Network of UNESCO sites of Lombardy and the funding of the Ministry of Culture based on the funds of the Law of 20 February 2006, n.77.
