This is the official app for the special exhibition "A wide field. The Tempelhof Airport and its history "the Topography of Terror Foundation in the main building of the former airport. The exhibition tells of the changeable history of the Tempelhof airport area: at the end of the 19th century field of experimentation for aircraft, since the mid-1920s the location of one of the most important European airports, during the time of National Socialism the scene of propaganda campaigns, large construction site, finally production facility of the armaments industry and Place of forced labor; During the Cold War, the airport was a gateway to the free world for West Berlin.
