The RUN ECO TEAM app, inspired by the association of the same name, encourages sportsmen and women to protect the planet when they go running by collecting the rubbish they find on their journey. This initiative, which has united more than 20,000 Facebook members, has also attracted the attention of Mark Zuckerberg in person, a firm supporter of the RUN ECO TEAM “run for a cleaner world” approach.

The RUN ECO TEAM association, with its “1 run = 1 item of rubbish” slogan, developed the application in partnership with TIRU, a subsidiary of the EDF Group. TIRU, present in France, the UK and Canada, is an active contributor to the energy transition, capable of transforming waste into energy. RUN ECO TEAM and TIRU are complementary – one collects rubbish when running while the other uses it to generate energy. Both therefore support the circular economy principle. An additional service for the community

With the RUN ECO TEAM app, you can post photos of what you have collected directly on the Facebook Group page using a customised connection. This all-in-one app will make it easier not only to publish your posts online, but also to calculate the amount of waste collected by the community as a whole.
