Sami Yusuf was born in Tabriz, an Azeri family in Iran. Grown up in a family of musicians, Yusuf moved to the UK when he was 3 years old. His music teacher was his father, Babak Radmanesh, who was a composer and musician from a young age. In 2003, he released the album Al Muallim.
