This application is intended to enrich the works: Past found Reunion 1870-2000-2001 and the calendar of Reunion 2023

In 2000, to celebrate the transition to the third millennium, Serge Gélabert produced a first unpublished work which compared photographs from the 19th and 20th centuries with his own, taken from the same angles of view.

Urban views, coastal landscapes or the heights of the island, the striking comparisons attest to the transformations of Reunion that have occurred over the past hundred years.

In 2021, more than twenty years later, driven by the same passion for his adopted island, the photographer from Reunion traveled it again, in order to bear witness to the first years of the 21st century, using for this a new technology: the augmented reality image.

On each page, for each place, three eras are offered to the reader to dive into the centenary or recent past of Reunion.

Once the book The past found La Réunion 1870-2000-2021 has been opened, to discover the effects of augmented reality, a clever mix between the written and the virtual, place your smartphone or tablet above a 2021 visual of the book, it will become a video.
