SpeciAll believes that each and every one of us should have the opportunity to go out with our friends and family, free from any stress. SpeciAll has been created in this year in 2017 and has changed a lot from where it was right at the beginning. Throughout the journey of it`s creation many events have occurred which have shaped the app to be what it is now.

On the 22nd May 2017, Nainika Tikoo, a beauty with brains and a true legacy, devastatingly left us due to her severe allergic reaction to a blackberry and since then we have decided to raise as much allergy awareness as we possibly can. When we asked Lakshmi Kaul, Nainika`s mum what had been difficult during her daughter`s life, she told us that sometimes when she went to restaurants many of them did not cater for her allergies or didn`t take cross contamination into account and that made it incredibly tricky to eat out and they had to pre plan before going out anywhere in advance. The app hopes to tackle such problems by telling adults as well as children which places they can visit that cater for their needs.

The wheelchair user side of things was mainly inspired by visiting St Giles, a wonderful school for disabled children in Croydon, where it was pointed out by the carers as well as the children that it was very hard to go out as a small 5cm doorstep could prevent them from getting into wherever they want to go. The app is designed to tell any wheelchair users on our app which places are suitable for them and which places are not. Another issue that was brought up during the visit was that many children were finding it incredibly hard to socialise out of school. We are currently trying to break this barrier by collaborating with charities on our app with the events calendar.

The events calendar is where charities that are supporting us can input any events that they are hosting and anyone who uses our app and supports the cause of the event can easily go and be a part of it and hopefully meet other people who are facing the same daily issues as them. For example if a there was an event such as a wheelchair race any wheelchair user on our app could go and visit it, have fun, and also meet many other wheelchair users, hence helping them socialise.
