Please be aware that since this app is still very new there may not be other SquawkBox users in range of your location if you are looking for random people to chat with. You can still use this with people you know nearby for various purposes though. Please keep this in mind when rating this app.

SquawkBox is a voice chat application that operates similar to a broadcast radio. Unlike other apps that use WiFi or Bluetooth that have a limited range and a complicated configuration processes, SquawkBox uses the GPS system on your phone to locate other SquawkBox users within two miles of your location. Using it is easy since all you have to do is launch the app and it will automatically start listening for other peoples broadcasts. To say something just hold down the "Transmit" button and your voice will be instantly broadcast to other SquawkBox users nearby.
