The 2019 STC Annual Conference App is the go-to resource for the day’s events

The 2019 STC Annual Conference will showcase the latest technology under development in the Cluster, and highlight pertinent business issues and commercial opportunities.

We are privileged to welcome Peter Horrocks CBE, Chairman of SEMLEP (SE Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership) as another of our keynote speakers. His extensive experience in public policy, political influencing, commercial growth and organisational reform shows his commitment to delivering commercial and public purpose outcomes, interestingly with a key focus on digital transformation.

We are also delighted to welcome Dr Bradley Pietras, ex-VP of Technology at Lockheed Martin, with his focus on ‘The Impact of AI and Machine Learning on Future Transport’. A specialist in leading significant R&D projects with knowledge ranging from nanotechnology to quantum physics, his experience includes the introduction of advanced carbon nanotube-based materials in many Lockheed Martin products, including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and Juno Spacecraft with entered Jupiter orbit in 2016.

Robert Jenrick MP, Exchequer Secretary to HM Treasury, will be joining us to share his commitment to working with STC. Robert sees the Cambridge-Milton Keynes-Oxford growth corridor as one of “the greatest opportunities for economic growth in Europe”. He will highlight how government is collaborating with our Cluster to unlock maximum growth and prosperity for businesses.

Furthermore, Shai Vyakarnam, leading expert in Entrepreneurship, will be speaking on how to scale up your business. His presentation will provide valuable advice on how to grow your business, illustrated by Paul North of Illuminis showing how Shai’s advice and techniques have allowed Illuminis to transform their business.

Organisations including Medilink EM will highlight opportunities in different sectors, while Wirth Research, P2i, Claytex and voxeljet will be showcasing their technology.

Gaia Innovation and UK Automotive 30% club founder Julia Muir will join us to share her expert insights.
