Hadith science is one of the most important Islamic disciplines, because without studying hadith science according to its methodology properly and correctly, a person will not be able to understand hadith well and correctly. So the urgency of the hadith of the Prophet SAW. Both the study of Islam and the implementation of its teachings are not something foreign to Muslims in general, let alone the ulama. This is because hadith occupies a position as a source of Islamic teachings in the Islamic legal system after the Koran.

As a primary reference after the holy book Al-Qur'an, the position and function of hadith forms a symbiotic relationship of mutualism with the Al-Qur'an as the central text in Islamic civilization not only at the theoretical normative level, but also implemented in consensus, scientific dialectics, and religious practices of Muslims throughout the world throughout history. Together with the Al-Qur'an, hadith are the "fountain of water" that revives Islamic civilization, becoming an inspiration and reference for Muslims in their lives.

Considering the important and strategic position of hadith and studying it, hadith scholars give serious attention in the form of memorizing hadith, documenting them in books and publishing them, outlining the branches of science, and laying down special rules and methodologies to protect hadith from errors and errors in narration and conducting research to examine the validity of a hadith.

Therefore, in an effort to play an active role in spreading theoretical knowledge of hadith, especially in the academic world, we have prepared this book, the material of which is found in every lecture in the Hadith Science course so that it is hoped that this book will help academics and students as well. the hadith lover community as an initial reference in understanding the science of hadith. And with the completion of writing this book, we would like to express our thanks to all parties, especially to our husbands and wives, children and families who have provided a lot of motivation to publish this book.
