Judging a hadith that is authentic, hasan, or dha'if, must be based on several things, including (characteristics that encourage a person to always be pious, and have a noble character and stay away from immorality and bid'ah) and dhabth (accuracy of memorizing) the narrator, or accusations against their "adaalah" and "dhabth".

Knowing everything about a hadith narrator is not easy, as the opinions of the scholars about a narrator also vary, some are excessive, some are mediocre, and some are understated. Differences in the assessment of a narrator will affect differences in judging a hadith, whether authentic, hasan, dha'if, or maudhu'.

Allah Ta'ala says, which means: those who believe, if the wicked person comes to you with news, then check carefully so that you do not inflict a calamity on a people without knowing the circumstances that cause you to regret your actions." Surah Al Hujurat [49]: 6)
