Discover what it's like to have synaesthesia.

Have you heard of Synaesthesia? It's a genetic trait in some people that causes their senses to cross. This application, co-written by someone with synaesthesia, demonstrates what it's like on a day-to-day basis. Danne Stayskal (http://danne.stayskal.com/) and Jill Burrows (http://adaburrows.com/) maintain this application.

Superpowers takes video from your camera and makes sound out of it in a way similar to Danne's sight-sound synaesthesia. It also takes sound from your phone's microphone and overlays video based on what it would look like to her.

PLEASE PLUG HEADPHONES IN BEFORE STARTING THIS APP. Also, you'll need to make sure your media volume is turned to a reasonable level, otherwise you won't see any synaesthetic overlay on the main video.
