Perhaps Imam Nawawi in collecting these hadiths was inspired by the hadith of the Messenger of Allah which is narrated by Imam Ali, Abdullah bin Mas'ud, Mu'adz bin Jabal, Abi Darda, Ibn Umar, Ibn Abbas, Anas bin Malik, Abu Hurairah, Abu Sa 'en Al-Khudhri - may Allah bless them all - from various methods of transmission - that the Messenger of Allah said, "Whoever memorizes from my people 40 hadiths - which contain in them - on religious matters, then Allah will raise them up on the Day of Resurrection with the faction the fuqaha and scholars ". In another narration mentioned, "Allah will raise him as a faqih and pious". And in the narrations of Abu Darda, "I will be the intercessor and witness on the Day of Judgment". And in the history of Ibn Mas'ud, "Tell him: Enter you at which door you like". And in the history of Ibn Umar, "It will be written with a group of scholars and raised with the martyrs".
