This is a translation book from the book Kasyifah as-Saja Fi Syarhi Safinah an-Naja which is one of the many sharah books compiled by Sheikh Allamah Muhammab bin Umar an-Nawawi al-Banteni.

In essence, the sharia book explains the field of Ushuludin which is accompanied by several Fiqhiah issues which may be very waqi'iah so it is not surprising that the book is used as a reference book by students to know the laws.

Some students asked us to translate the sharia book, even though we are not actually experts in translation. However, as it is said, "Every bad thing does not necessarily have a completely negative impact," because there may still be a positive impact that it produces. Because of this, we take the liberty to translate it in the hope that it can be included in the words of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, "The best people are those who are most beneficial to others."

In translating this classic book, we are guided by Kasyifatu as-Saja's own yellow book and the al-Munawwir Dictionary by Syeh Ahmad Warson Munawwir. We include the original text of the book with the aim of giving blessings so that this translated book can also provide comprehensive benefits like the Sharia book and dictionary.

If errors are found, either in terms of writing or understanding, then it is due to our ignorance and if the truth is found then it is from Allah which was entrusted by Sheikh an-Nawawi al-Banteni.

In the published editorial of the Kasyifah as-Saja book, we found several texts that we thought were written incorrectly so we relied on other Fiqh books to support, clarify and correct the errors in the text.

Among them, we are guided by:

- Tadzhib Fi Adillah Matan al-Ghoyah Wa at-Taqrib by Dr. Mustofa Daibul Bagho.

- I'anah at-Tolibin 'ala Fathi al-Mu'in by Sayyid Bakri bin Sayyid Muhammad Syato ad-Dimyati.

- Busyro al-Karim Bi Syarhi Masail at-Taklim by Said bin Muhammad Ba'syan.

- And others

We ask Allah that He may make this translated book truly a practice that is pure because of His Essence, as an intermediary for the forgiveness of our sins, our parents, our kyai, our teachers, our ustadz, our students, -our students and all Muslims, and as a means for us to enter His heaven, through the intermediary of His lover, Rasulullah Muhammad shollallahu 'alaihi wa sallama.

May He make this translated book useful for anyone who studies it and make it a charity practice whose rewards will always flow after our death. Amen Ya Robba al-Alamin.
