Language 1 name – tap to change

Microphone 1 – tap to voice input a language 1 phrase for interpretation

Text 1 – shows language 1 phrase – tap to edit the text or access the clipboard

Speaker 1 – tap to speak the language 1 phrase

2 controls in the middle to reinterpret to or from language 1 or language 2

Translate 1 to 2 – will reinterpret Text 1 to Text 2

Translate 2 to 1 – will reinterpret Text 2 to Text 1

Also, to check the accuracy of a translation, use these to interpret a phrase back to the language you understand.

Once configured, you will normally only need to use the two microphone control

Terp - TTS Data Required

In order for terp to pronounce foreign phrases, you will need to download Text to Speech data for the desired language(s) – available as free downloads from Google.

Settings…

Language and Input > Text to speech

Preferred engine > settings

Select Install voice data

Select and download the desired language

Restart terp

Terp depends on Google for voice to text and text to voice operations

Terp depends on Yandex for language translation operations

As those continue to improve, terp will continue to improve also, you may see changes to its translations on a day to day basis.
