About Test Speed Internet

Use test speed To check your internet speed!

This bandwidth test measures the reception / transmission speeds and the ping between your computer and our server.

What is the flow test or speedtest for?

The Ariase speedtest measures the speed of your Internet connection.

Whatever your subscription (ADSL, optical fiber, Satellite ...), your Internet access is carried out at a certain speed measured in Megabits (Mbit / s) or in Kilobits per second (Kbit / s).

The higher the speed, the better your connection is.

It is the speed of your bandwidth that determines how long it will take you to download and send data over the Internet.

test the speed of your connection, online and for free, but also to know your eligibility for the various offers on the market.

In order to decipher these and therefore to help you choose your next operator, we also provide you with an ADSL comparison which is intended to be simple and clear.

What are the features of the Ariase connection test?

The speed of your connection is tested from our dedicated Gigabit server located in a data center in Nantes. The Ariase throughput test is compatible with ADSL, VDSL2, fiber optic networks,

cable, satellite and microwave. The download speed is calculated by downloading a file for 10 seconds.

The same operation is performed in the upward direction (upload) for 10 seconds. Finally, the ping, ie the latency time between your computer and our server, is calculated.

In addition to the speed and ping values, the Ariase speed test indicates the average speed of your access provider as well as the average

connection speeds of Internet users living near you (geolocation on google Maps).

What do the speeds correspond to in practice?

How much does it take to download a movie, photos or even a music album? It all depends on the speed of your Internet connection!

Here is a comparison table of the download times according to a standard speed of 2 Mbit / s, 8 Mbit / s, 20 Mbit / s, 50 Mbit / s and 500 Mbit / s.

What are Kilobits / Megabits?

Megabit is a computer unit of measurement corresponding to one million bits. One megabit (Mbit for short) corresponds to 1000 Kilobits.

One megabit per second therefore corresponds to a volume of data transmitted in one second.

Be careful not to mix "bits" and "bytes"! The byte is another computer unit of measurement made up of 8 bits.

A high-performance ADSL connection thus makes it possible to download up to 20 Mbit / s, which therefore corresponds to 2.5 MB per second.

Although the two are related, we speak more in Megabits per second to measure throughput, and more in MegaBytes to quantify a volume of data.

Test the quality of your internet connection by measuring the speed of your line. The speedtest will calculate your latency, your receive and send speed in order to measure the quality level of the technology you are using.

remember to cut off all downloads in progress on your computer but also on other equipment connected to your Internet box (other computers, tablets, smartphones, game consoles).

Please note that this measurement may vary throughout the day, do not hesitate to repeat the operation to check how your score is evolving.
