About The Wellness Hub App

Using this app may better equip you with tools to address life’s challenges.

The Wellness Hub app was designed by experts in resilience at the Mount Sinai Center for Stress, Resilience and Personal Growth. Potential benefits of using the app include enhanced personal sense of resilience and well-being. Life presents many challenges, and we present a number of evidence-based strategies meant to help people adapt, grow and recover from challenges big and small. The app features activities you can do on your own, as well as written and video content describing the different resilience factors, and journaling features.

HOW IT WORKS:

After consenting to research participation, and downloading the app, you will be guided through some introductory screens. There, you will be asked to complete a scale evaluating many components of psychological resilience. After that, you will begin your participation by starting the first of 5 1-week modules specifically focused on one of 5 resilience factors. Each module has activities that you can practice several times a week and you can set reminders to yourself to do so. At the end of the 5 weeks, you will be asked to do the measure of resilience again in the app. Throughout your participation, we will occasionally ask you for feedback about the features and how you like each bit of content you present. Please be assured that your data will be kept private and secure in accordance with our institutional policies, including those specified by our Program for the Protection of Human Subjects.

BENEFITS:

Using this app may better equip you with tools to address life’s challenges, or if you are already using them, reinforce their importance. You will have a portable resource at your fingertips.

• Evidence-based activities - enhanced resilience and personal well-being, and decreased stress

• Videos and written content - reinforce content by multimodal learning

• Reminders - encourage completion of activities

• Resilience Plan - review content you have completed before and ‘favorite’ activities
