About TLCalc (Scientific Calculator)

100% free and easy to use scientific and engineering calculator for your phone.

Have access to a scientific, engineering and graphing calculator wherever you take your phone.

Note: development has mostly ceased for this app as enthusiasm for this project has waned. Suggestions are welcomed but may not be actioned for a while!

TLCalc features:

• Full support for complex numbers and matrices

• Fully featured unit converter mode that is flexible enough to convert units composed of other units such as kg mi/hr --> km ton/s (similar to UNITS on Linux)

• 24 variables (a-z excluding e and i) to store real or complex values. E.g. a=5 -> a^2=25

• 26 generic variables (#a-#z including #e and #i) to store any value including matrices. E.g. #a=[1,2;5,4] -> 2#a=[2,4;10,8]

• Built in documentation for functions

• Graphing mode to plot functions, polar plots, parametric plots, implicit plots, statistic plots or a combination of these simultaneously

• Graphing animation - check video to see this in action

• Find minimum, maximums, function intersections and zeroes in plots.

• See list below for more features.

This app is 100% free. NO COST to install, NO ADS ever and requires minimal permissions.

Tutorials and more information relating to the app can be found by going to the website: http://tlcalc.blogspot.com.au/

Tips for pro users:

• Hold down a button to insert the ‘shift’ text instead of normal text

• Hold down the backspace button to clear the input in one go

• Complex numbers can be entered in polar form using ‘@’. E.g 2@90 = 2i when in degrees mode. The app applies the angle mode you are currently in.

Disclaimer: this app is a hobby project that I have developed for my own personal use. As such, the app has had limited testing. Currently, the only tested devices are the Moto G, HTC One Max, HTC Desire, Lenovo Tab A10 and Samsung S6. Please contact me if you find bugs or would like to leave any feedback or suggestions.

Other features:

• Fully compatible with the on-screen keyboard and/or physical keyboard (i.e. laptop and Bluetooth keyboards)

• Plot using variables other than x, y or t and a slider will appear when graphing. Use the slider to modify the extra variables to explore how they affect the plots. Feature finding even updates in real-time to changes made using the slider

• Create your own functions and use them in expressions.

• Customisable button pad with large buttons for easy input of expressions

• Calculator and unit converter widgets for your home screen and lock screen

• Multi-task seamlessly. Calculations, variables and custom functions you use are automatically saved between app sessions

• Cloud save settings data so if you lose your phone or uninstall the app, the app will be restored to the previous state when you reinstall it or when you change phones
