TPGreader

TPGreader of Railtool is an extension of the Siemens ETCS TPG-V2-Web Tool

The Siemens ETCS test and programming tool TPG-V2-Web provides an isolated web-host interface. Platform-independent clients can be connected with this host through WLAN and can communicate with the TPG via a Browser (HTML).

Eurobalise telegram can be read and the corresponding MD4 Hash can be displayed on the client. The standard application does not allow to decode and represent more detailed information of the content of the telegram. In some situation or test scenarios it would be helpful or even necessary to have the complete information about the telegram content just after reading back data from a Eurobalise.

The TPGreader is an add-on to the Siemens standard-application. It allows to do all functions provided by the existing Siemens solution. The client software runs in the TPGreader app within a embedded browser. The TPGreader observes the navigation within the Siemens application in the background and allows in additional the decoding and presentation of the complete telegram data.

Very helpful data like the Balise ID are displayed on the main screen automatically after each reading process. The user can also predefine individual variables to be displayed on the top of the screen. There is also a detailed view where the content of the whole telegram with all variables is shown.

Individual settings of the application are possible. Also Host IP address, the relevant URL for downloading data as well as WLAN SSID and password can be set by the user. When starting up, the app tries to connect automatically to the pre-defined host. If this is not possible, the app enters in a simulation mode to give an impression of the functionality of the app.
