Background:

Based on the ancient African strategy board game Tsoro with its roots in Zimbabwe, Tsho-o recreates this fascinating game emulating the excitement that made kings to play it to settle scores, warriors to devise war strategy and a basis to teach girls and boys math.

Tsho-o is closely related to Oware, Mancala, Bao, and Kalah.

The Game:

Tsho-o is made up of two variants hybrid and classic, the sole distinction in that hybrid includes the generation of star balls.

Each variant has four game modes:

• Moves restricted: You play to score as many points for a given set of moves.

• Time restricted: You play to score as many points as possible in a given time.

• Points restricted: Player has to surpass a given target score in the earliest possible time.

• Open game: Player has to get all balls in the bank in the earliest possible time.
